                               Hungate Cottages in 2008

The Cottages ★ ★ ★ ★
The award of 4 star grading by the Tourist Board to all our eleven cottages marks the success of our
four year investment program. I hope you will agree that the cottage you visit is the very best you can
expect. And we think our new gardening team have worked wonders – the gardens look better than
ever.

In Pickering
No, thankfully we didn’t get flooded! We are comfortably above the highest ever flood level recorded in July. Our visitors will know of the really good restaurants in and around Pickering. Now there is a new authentic Spanish restaurant and tapas bar in Castlegate. Very good too, with a nice atmosphere.

North Yorkshire Moors Railway
The through steam trains all the way to Whitby have proved really enjoyable for our visitors who have thus avoided the parking problems there.

In Dalby Forest
A new high level rope walk – Go Ape – for the brave!

In York
York’s Wheel. Like – but a bit smaller than – the London Eye. It is just next to the National Railway Museum and gives you marvellous views of York and the Vale of York.

The Coast
The Rotunda museum in Scarborough (local history) will open after a £ multimillion refurbishment. You can paint and take away your own pottery at “Doodle Pots” in Whitby. And a new family farm at Cayton bay (nice beach too). And a new steam organ museum near Scarborough.

And this is just what’s new! Our visitor books are full of tales of what you have done.

I look forward to seeing you in 2007. Give me a ring or email to enquire about availability.

Yours Sincerely

Richard Robertson
