Malton Food Lovers Festival
19th and 20th May 2012
Over the last three years the Malton Food Lovers Festival has expanded rapidly. In 2011 the annual festival grew into a two-day celebration of ‘Yorkshire’s Finest’ with over 100 high-quality producer stalls, two cookery theatres, and supported by four celebrity patrons. Our Beer Festival sold out and we welcomed well over 10,000 people to our pretty market town. With car parks and streets bulging at the seams we really saw what good food and cooking could do to promote Malton.

The Olympic Games 2012 begin on 27th July!
The Olympic Torch arrives by steam train at Pickering on 18th June. This will be a memorable day for the town - why not join us? We still have our two larger cottages left for week commencing 16th - Hungate Garden and Saltersgate - perfect for a family or friends get-together. After leaving Pickering Station, the torch parade will pass right by us on Hungate. Join us by the "big gate" to give them all a rousing cheer! We'll get some flags in for you!!
With great transport access from the south of England, why not escape the hustle and bustle of London and spend part of the Olympic Games with us at Hungate? All our cottages have large screen TVs so you don't need to miss a minute of the action. Watch all the excitement in the comfort of your own cosy, well-equipped cottage and in those quieter times enjoy the delights of the Coast, the Moors, York and Pickering. What better way to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event?
