ACCESS STATEMENT FOR GLAISDALE COTTAGE, PICKERING, NORTH YORKSHIRE
INTRODUCTION
We aim to accommodate the needs of all our guests at Hungate Cottages.
This is a summary of the facilities at GLAISDALE Cottage which is a two storey building. The
decor throughout is neutral and all rooms are well lit through natural light
and good electric lighting. The property has full central heating.

PRE-ARRIVAL
Hungate Cottages are located in the market town of Pickering – gateway to the North York Moors National Park in
North Yorkshire. We are ideally situated for the North Yorkshire Moors, York
and the east coast resorts of Whitby and Scarborough. We can be contacted via

ARRIVAL AND CAR PARKING FACILITIES
Glaisdale Cottage is located in an orchard setting with Danby Dale.
Parking is on a level, gravel parking area. There is a paved footpath from the
parking area to the cottage.
MAIN ENTRANCE
The property is accessed from a paved pathway which brings you to the
main door. The doorway is 70cm wide and up one step, 19cm high bringing you
into the hallway which has tiled flooring. There is direct access from here to
the ground floor WC, lounge and kitchen as well as staircase to the upper
floor.
GROUND FLOOR WC
Accessed from the hallway via a doorway 70cm wide into this tiled floor
room. The WC is 43cm high and the basin is 84cm high.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is located off the hallway and is accessed through a doorway
70cm wide opening into the kitchen. The floor is laminate and the units are
92cm high. There is an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave and
combined washing machine/tumble dryer. Adjacent to the Kitchen is the Dining Area. The dining table is 76cms high with a 63cms
space beneath. There are six chairs
44cms high.
LOUNGE
The lounge can be accessed
directly from the hallway via a doorway 70cm wide and from the kitchen/Dining area via an archway 136cm wide. The room has a
short-pile carpet. There is a 2-seat
sofa and a 3 seat sofa plus 2 armchairs, 42cm high as well as an arm chair,
48cm high. There is an open fire, colour TV, occasional table, lamp and
portable music system.
The stairway to the first floor is carpeted and there are 14 steps, 81cm
wide, 24cm deep and 19cm high bringing you onto a carpeted landing.
BEDROOMS
The cottage has 3 bedrooms – 1 twin,1 double
and 1 single.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
A double bedroom accessed via a doorway, 71cm wide, opening into the
bedroom. The bed is 57cm high and has bedside units with lamps. There is a
built-in wardrobe and 2 - drawer unit. Plus 1 chair 43cms high.
TWIN BEDROOM
A twin bedroom accessed via a doorway on the landing, 71cm wide, the
beds are 59cm high and have bedside units and lamps. There is a wardrobe,
4-drawer unit and 2 chairs 47cm high. In the wardrobe there is also a washbasin
79cms high with mirror above.
SINGLE BEDROOM
A single bedroom accessed via a doorway on the landing, 71cm wide. The
bed is 59cm high and has a bedside unit and lamp. 1 chair 43cms high. There is a built in wardrobe
BATHROOM
The bathroom is accessed from the landing by a door 78cm wide opening
into the bathroom which is carpeted. There is a bath, 52 cms high with a shower above the bath. The WC is
43cm high and the basin 82cms high with a mirror and shaver point above. There is 1 chair 42 cms high.
OUTDOOR FACILITIES
There is a large, lawned, communal garden to the front of the cottage
and the Orchard is to the rear with seating and tables.
